Dylan J. Tessier
Attorney Dylan J. Tessier graduated summa cum laude from Florida State
University with a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs.Following
graduation, she served as an AmeriCorps VISTA and then a resettlement
case manager, welcoming and resettling refugees from all over the world.
She then moved to Ghana, West Africa, where she worked for the U.S. Refugee
Admissions Program interviewing refugees in Ghana and other countries.
Attorney Tessier received her Juris Doctor from the University of Washington
School Of Law. While in law school, she completed externships with the
Northwest Immigrant Rights Project and the Federal Public Defender and
participated in the Immigrant Families Advocacy Project and the Innocence
Project Northwest Clinic, and represented other clients as an intern.
After law school, she spent several years as a Judicial Staff Attorney
at the Circuit Court, 7th Judicial Circuit, assisting judges on felony post-conviction cases. Her
practice area includes family-based petitions, adjustment of status, waivers,
consular processing, naturalization, VAWA petitions, U Visas, and removal
defense. She is a member of the Florida Bar, the Volusia County Bar Association,
AILA, and the Dunn-Blount Inns of Court.
