The Washington Post reports on how two brothers from Gaithersburg, MD, were deported to their native El Salvador on Wednesday in what their attorney says was the fastest deportation process he has ever seen. The brothers have no criminal records, but were detained by ICE agents on Friday after a regular check-in. The brothers were granted a stay of removal in 2013, but subsequent applications for stays were denied. Matthew Bourke, a spokesman for ICE, said that they "would not have been a priority for deportation by the Obama administration." Read this story and more in AILA's daily immigration news clips.
