Gisselle A. Martinez
Attorney Gisselle Martinez is an immigration attorney at Vedder & Jattan, P.A. Born in Colombia, Gisselle immigrated to the United States as a child, and her own immigration journey inspired her lifelong commitment to advocating for immigrants and their families.
Gisselle earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her bachelor’s degrees in economics and political science from the University of Florida.
Since 2013, she has represented individuals and families in a wide range of immigration matters, including asylum, removal defense, humanitarian relief, family-based immigration, and relief for survivors of crime and domestic violence.
Gisselle is also the Co-founder of Orlando Center for Justice, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to justice for immigrant communities. Over the course of a decade, she helped establish and grow its legal services, expanding access to high-quality legal representation for thousands of immigrant families throughout Central Florida.
Gisselle serves on the Board of Directors of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Central Florida Chapter, where she also chairs the Membership Development Committee. A frequent speaker at legal conferences, continuing legal education programs, and community events, Gisselle regularly presents on immigration law and immigrant rights.
Gisselle is commitment to service and leadership has been recognized with honors including the University of Florida's 40 Gators Under 40 Award and the Orlando Business Journal's 40 Under 40 Award.
