State Department Computer Glitch Creates A Visa Nightmare

Have you been trying to get a Visa and havent had any luck? As reported by NPR, there is a computer problem that is causing major issues for those applying for visas. For the 50,000 visa applications that are sent in every day, only a few emergency visas are able to be issued.

Reportedly, the glitch has practically shut down the visa application process. Farmers who depend on guest workers to help pick fruit during harvests are concerned they will lose their crops, because the State Department's visa system may not be back up in time for the workers to cross the border and help with the cherry, blueberry, and other harvests.

There is also concern that the longer the problem remains unresolved, the larger the backlog will be and the more difficult it will be to catch up.
