The Huffington Post reports that ICE has recently been testing the bounds of its "sensitive locations" policy, which states that ICE does not carry out enforcement actions at or near sensitive locations, including schools, churches, and hospitals. Last month, ICE agents arrested men who had just left a church-run hypothermia shelter in Virginia and a father who was dropping off his children at school in Los Angeles. AILA's Director of Advocacy Greg Chen noted that students should be able to attend school without fear that they, their parents, or classmates will be deported.
