The Fourth Circuit To Hear Arguments Today Challenging President Trump's Executive Order 13780

The Associated Press reports that the Fourth Circuit will hear arguments today in a Maryland case challenging President Trump's Executive Order 13780, which targets Muslims and refugees. The Richmond, Virginia-based court will examine a federal judge in Maryland's ruling that blocks the administration from temporarily barring new visas for people from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. A federal judge in Hawaii has also halted that provision as well as the freeze on the U.S. refugee program; the Trump administration is fighting that decision in the Ninth Circuit. The article includes a Q&A that addresses what to look for in the arguments in the Fourth Circuit today. Read this story and more in AILA's daily immigration news clips.
